Sad statistics show that most graduates of orphanages and boarding schools have problems with the law, difficulties in establishing an independent life and positioning in society. Only 1% of orphans continue their study and get educated. To change this, the Charity fund “ORPHAN EDUCATION CLUB” has developed a program for the social adaptation of orphans, which teaches independence and provides basic professional skills. However, one program is not enough, because such children do not have time to adapt to the stark reality of independent living and funds for even the most basic needs. Their financial security depends only on themselves. That is why the first orphanage workshop in Ukraine “HANDCRAFTS by orphans” sees the task of educating orphans in entrepreneurial rather than consumer thinking, gaining knowledge that will help them financially secure themselves in the early stages of independent living. Those orphans could leave the walls of a boarding school or orphanage being self-sufficient, socially adapted, active and confident.

Social Start up

With the help of our Telegram bot, children create their own products (children’s toys, clay products, paintings, etc.). Proceeds from sales are directed to the educational program on entrepreneurship and financial literacy. By buying anything from the “HANDCRAFTS by orphans” workshop, you not only get clothes, a bag or another product but also help orphans to acquire the necessary knowledge and professional skills. This is your contribution not only to their future but also to your own. After all, orphans, like any other children, are the future of Ukraine and it only depends on us what it will be like.
